Jitmab - The US Supreme Court frequently goes beyond interpreting the words of the constitution to trying to find some general principles in the constitution and then using those principles in support of their political agenda. I do believe that the members of the Supreme Court are more knowledgeable about constitutional law then I am but in practice the law is interpreted as almost anything the court wants to interpret it as. The level of knowledge and practice in writing decisions just helps them be more sophisticated in ignoring what the constitution actually says and what the intentions of the original writers of the constitution where.
