Ten years is a long time and all kinds of sh*t could happen.

I'm curious -- what kinds of sh*t is it that could happen? Could you provide some specific examples? I mean, is it another Valdez you're worried about, or what?

We don't have a lot of experience with the system that they plan to use to drill. So anything could happen in terms of oil leaching into the soil or water. In addition as I understand it, the plan is to ship by boat so yes, there could be another Valdez.

But that really is not the point. This is an area that is still pristine. Pristine means we have't screwed with it. Just leave it alone....we don't dig up every square inch of this planet and extract every mineral and screw with every species. Besides we don't own this planet, we are on a revocable lease.

And you haven't answered my question....how much oil is in the ANWR?
