The days with Solaris as an operating system are numbered. Sun knows, that it has to switch to Linux. And then the world will be Windows and Linux.

Red Hat Linux 7.1 already has 4 times the size of Solaris, measured as number of source code lines, and the Linux distributions still grow at a tremendous speed.

It will be interesting to see the next couple of months - whether Code Red has made some people switch...
