Does anyone care to share there monthly expenses to get a joe 6pack point of view on inflation?
I use excruciating detail with Quicken to track expenses.

What is my % increase/decrase year over year?

electricity (based only on kwh not usage, up 20.5%)

natural gas (based only MCF not usage up 12.1%)

cable (up 11.3 same package, oh they did include 2 new shopping channels, Disney and a spanish station...you had to take it, no option....hmmmm 11.3% increase but i get 4 wonderful new stations....)

gas (based on avg price paid at pump, not how much i actually spent, up 8.5%)

water/sewage (based on cf not actual usage, up 3.8%)

food (based on total cost year to date with no eating habit changes, up 5.9% note only food not other items you may pick up at store like toothpaste, flowers etc)

entertainment
Sport event tickets (up 18%)
Concerts (up 22%)
Avg Beer price at bar (up 5%)

HairCut (up 8%)

Clothes (cant really add much here cuz i didnt buy many)

Internet (up 18%....oh but the service is so much better : )

Shipping&Handling fees ( up 7%....yes i really do break these costs down : )

Memory (decrease of 50% for same 128MB ram)

Postage: (I rarely send mail but the price increased from 32 to 34 cent??)

Car ins (no change in driving record or options, up 8%)

Health Ins prem (same coverage, up 42%!!!)

Anyones city taxes gone down?
