Jane Fonda is very much a liberal and tends very much to the left. The people she defended in Hanoi were communists thus they were neither left or right wing. Communism in itself by definition is left but in manifestation is usually hard right as those in power get absolute power and absolute power corrupts absolutely, thus creating a very hard right agenda usually. As for Hanoi, we the US invaded this country against the will of the people in that country and decided we HAD A BETTER AGENDA. Viet Nam was a disgrace to the US, and we killed many of our good
