Margin, I think there is no fool poof single (or multiple) indicator. VIX was just at 20 plus minus 1 in October 1999 when we launched the last mega leg of the now defunct bull move to March 2000. Not that I am bullish right here, but I think relying on any single indicator or any single fundamental fact (like the very large growth in MZM YOY at 15% plus, a very bullish fundamental "data point") would be an error.

I agree there is no fundamental reason to be bullish, and my short-term position is SHORT, but what will prevent the same type of rally that occurred in August, 2000? jove.prohosting.com

Using VIX/VXN oversold and reversal criteria, look at the signals that were generated during August, 2000.
