Hi Vicki,

Much appreciate your standing up for the long positions.

FWIW -I use TC2000 (in analyzing all my stocks.)One of the best entry ques to confirm that a stock has bottomed (in price) is to look for positive divergences.

Since June 20 Jdsu has developed a positive divergence in : Macd -histogram and two proprietary supply/demand indicators:TSV - time segmented volume and BOP balance of power.

All of these positive divergences are very good events. As this bear market has evolved various sectors have moved into higher level consolidations after displaying very similar trading action (in the bootom of their price range).

This is not to say that a retest to the 8.00 level will not occur. It looks very much to me like the goodwill writeoff announcement, has provided a retest of the June 20 low price of 9.55. The price of 8.00 now looks to be the washout bottom. If this price was ever revisited I would consider it a time to "add to". I would also view it as a trader's gift.

I leave it to the fearmongers of this thread to input a conversation that deals a little more with the supply/demand characteristics of this equity's trading.

I think the Yahoo-like fear mongering "it's going to zero" posts best portray the nervous jitters of short sellers who can best be labeled "Johnny come lately's. The great shorters where those at the top and they've long clipped their gains by now - it leaves only those who scavenge the dry bones to fight over the slim pickings.

Future profits will now be made on the long side as the downside is already showing healthy signs of reversal.

JMHO

Bob

I wonder if Csco's earnings on Tueday(after hours)will provide a positive catlyst???
