nd the 1.5 GHz Palomino will likely only be about as fast as a 2.0 GHz Willamette. Additionally, it will not be Willamette that Palomino (or more accurately Thoroughbred, since Palomino will be introduced so close to Thoroughbred, will be competing against in the public eye, but Northwood. I anticipate that the fastest shipping Northwood will have higher performance than the fastest shipping Thoroughbred.

If the 1.5ghz Palomino will have about the same performance as the 2.0ghz Wilamette, wouldn't Thoroughbred have about the same performance as Northwood? I would think that AMD would benefit as much as Intel from the move from .18 to .13 and a bit of tweaking.
