ST trading:

I recently posted a variety of resistance points, at which NTAP might stall on this bounce. The lowest of them was the 50DMA, and that's what seems to be happening. Just as in previous bear rallies with NTAP, the stock poked it's head briefly above that moving average......and then went down....eventually going on to new lows.

The stock has bounced very quickly from 10 to 16, a 60% surge. A 50% retrace of that seem likely, which gets us down to 13, which also was a gap on the way up. Seems like a likely support level, at least shortterm. If we bounce at 13, I may add some to my long position. If we stall at 16 again, I may trim some of my long position, but only some. I won't consider going short until the high 20s, I don't like the risk/reward of puts until that point.

In any case, everything in increments, because a horizontal trading channel is not yet clearly established, and I'll be doing well if my guesses are ballpark right. But a 60% move ought to be tradable.

Good luck on your short. But you won't need luck, as you seem to have a clear plan and clear thinking to rely on.

NTAP on the RISE all sellers sold, all BUYERS BUYING AND CONSOLIDATING HELD POSITIONS....we have seen a turnover of the shareholder base, and after the OIL shortage and FED created Liquidity shortage and the MSFT lawsuit is settled completely, I think many of you will be surprised to see who owns what in America.
As for me, I will be an owner, a BUYER, a SHAREHOLDER, not a slave, not an employee, not sell out....
The think about buying is you can sell when you want, the problem with short sellers, is you can get lucky, and you are, but you can get real unlucky fast.....buyers are only unlucky if they are forced or foolish to sell in a panic.
I am,
Truly your$,

NTAP showing relative strength, compared to EMC and the Nas, over the last few days. EMC took out its July lows today, while NTAP is still almost 50% above its July lows. If we go a couple of months without NTAP setting new lows, I'll gradually increase my buy-prices. I don't think this stock is anywhere ready for a sustainable rally, but I'm slowly gaining confidence the bottom is in range. A successful test of the July lows would increase my confidence a lot.
