To be fair, it was framed as a celebration of my son's individual choice. The true correlation would be with something like Promise Keepers or one of the abstinence groups. Also, although I am glad that he did not rush into dating, and certainly discourage him from rushing into sex when he does date, if he wants to take a girl to a movie this year, I will not discourage that. He is 17 and a half, and when he is comfortable taking a girl out, he has my blessing, so long as he is a gentleman.....

I couldn't figure out what you were referring to either. Does that make me a leftie? Just not getting one obscure, muddled reference?

Also, not all gays are Dems or liberals. Log Cabin Republicans?

Ok well since you insist, lets see here.
I said something about having a parade to celebrate a right wingers choice to refrain from dating during the latter teen years, as a good and responsible choice.

Lord love a duck!

No, that's not how it happened. Neo started off with: "My son does not even date....."

You followed with: "I doubt anyone is giving a parade to celebrate."

I questioned why someone would hold a parade for his son. Maybe Neo and Mrs. Neo would show him their pride by treating him and a few of his buddies to a backyard BBQ or a weekend at the beach, but why a parade? When I think parade, I think of flags and high school bands and the VFW marching down main street followed by a bunch of fire trucks.

It was only after I had formed that mental picture that you thoroughly confused me by introducing left wingers and right wingers. I think of right wingers more than left when I think of parades since conspicuous patriotism with flags is more associated with the right.

I never for a moment thought of gay pride parades. So if you're going to make a crack about gays to someone who isn't predisposed to have gays on the brain, you'll have to either be more direct about it or expect me not to make the inference.

I asked for your comments on the practice when left wingers do it. I doubt that you couldn't figure out the inference to comming out and celebrating ones homosexuality and gay pride parades any more than I believe you would have to refer to your notes to figure out what two plus two is equal to.

Very astute. The annual celebrations of their perversion is touted by the media as something meritorious.
