Hydrogen is the ultimate best idea. All you need is a smaller engine and the infrastructure to support the cars, then the fuel is free and clean. That is if water is used. No doubt the energy cartel are fighting this one tooth and nail though they're way ahead of us on it in Germany. Bottomline, we don't need more oil, we need to wean ourselves off oill, and use what we have more efficiently. Bush is dead-set against all that of course. Backward looking as usual.
