Hi Sonki - I just sold some Sep $17 1/2 covered calls on my new stock purchased between $15-$17 over the last two months. If this stock gets called away in Sept. then I will look for another entry point below $17 to add to my holdings.

I am currently looking at Oracl for another trading stock and long term accumulation. My last purchase was a few weeks back at $15.45. I sold half at $19.10 and hedged the other half with Sept $20 calls (I got $1.45). I have found Orcl a good complement to my SUNW as they write several of the enterprise applications that require high end SUNW servers.

The other stock that looks good to me and follows the SUNW theme is NOK. NOK is off it's highs and in fact may break into new lows on any market sell off. I am looking two to three years out and think the products that NOK is developing that utilizes SUNW's new micro JAVA code will be a big hit when CDMA is available.

Therefore, I am still long term bullish on SUNW but I expect SUNW to consolidate at these levels until they can show an increase in product demand which may not be evident until the 2nd quarter of next year. When the enterprise buying picks up, SUNW is well positioned to take advantage of market demand with their new products, storage alliance w/ Hitachi, and continued build out of the Internet (including emerging technologies a. VOIP and b. cellular/wireless area).

One strategy you might follow is to sell some out of the money naked Puts. I think you could collect some premium while you wait. You do not need to chase this stock as I believe it will trade at current levels (between $14 - $17) for several months before any significant move higher.

Good luck

EKS

You seem to assume fundamentals have something to do with stock price. That's pretty nearly false, as near as I can tell. Two of the stocks in my portfolio (ONXX, SLR) announced excellent news in the past couple of days. Both were punished for it.

The best performers in my portfolio lately have been the ones with the worst prospects (EXDS, SGI, EEEE, MXO).

JMHO.
