Hi Mrs. Peel, I feel much the same way you do about public prayer. I have my own beliefs, which will not be rattled any public prayer, but I always appreciate it when an official, religious or otherwise, generifies (is this a word?) a convocation, leaving Christ out of things and referring to general organizing sense of justice and goodness, rather than a "God". But I know it's like walking on rolling logs, doing something like that. I appreciate any attempt to bring in as many people as possible in moments of that sort. Here is a case in which intention means a great deal.
