What Samsung is doing here is comparing the size of an RDRAM chip to an SDRAM chip, but they're giving the RDRAM chip the advantage of a smaller feature size. Hi John, could you have a look at the numbers Carl and I have been sharing, see post #77085. Also I have been making a list (on TMF) of machines using DDR, which I am trying to make more complete. The thing that particularly interested me in the searching (at which I am of course not as good as Carl<gg>) was the Fujitsu siemens workstation with a Pentium III and DDR. So that mobo may have migrated to other machines as well, are you aware of any servers/workstations with DDR? The famous Itanium (Silicon Graphics) server has sdram, even PC100, I believe like the cheapest of the cheapest.
