RtS, I use Medved Quote Tracker to observe the trend of the stock in RT. Then I get an option quote at Datek. It shows bid and ask as well as price of last trade. [some leaps trade thinly or not at all some days]. I always bid low when it looks like the stock price trend is down [limit day order]. To me the key is not to chase.

Yahoo is a good start to get an idea of bid/ask the day before. Frankly, I don't know how to price an option - so depend on others' bids.

Doing this with leap calls gives me more peace of mind in case price moves lower and it also amplifies the gain.
