Just my 2-cents but I think with trading vol down that the rest of the year is going to be minor blips up+down and no meaningful direction, much like the DOW did in 2000. Everyone has just about given up on a 2001 year recovery, it's bets being made for 2002 that fuel any buying now. Look at today's action, when the market tanked the buyers came in and I doubt they are expecting to make $$$ until some time next year. I think however that a true recession has yet to be discounted in the markets and so if we see a few qtrs of negative GNP then all bets are off as MrG only has 3 3/4 % points to ZERO (ala Japan)!
