If you don't want to read my replies, just use the ignore feature.

RE: "I am not an expert or anything, just person who knows that things are often more complex than they seem.

I have never read anything even remotely "complex" that you have posted. I agree that things are complex. That is why I don't like simple, superficial hand waving

RE: "...you have pissed off more than a few people here on this thread."

People are easily pissed off when their investment success depends on the emperor wearing clothes and someone points out that he isn't.

RE: "... what are you doing spending so much time posting here on this AMAT thread?"

Investing is my avocation and the AMAT thread is the most active of the semi-equip threads. I don't post as much as most on this thread. Count the posts.

RE: "My personal opinion is that people who tend to think they have it all figured out are at a higher risk of missing-out when it comes to the world of Wall Street. The market has a way of arranging for such types to have their heads handed to them sometimes."

I agree. As in everything, it is very important to know what it is you know, and what you don't. I find that attention to detail and avoiding generalities lowers the risk.

John,

Cary ignores anyone who does not agree with him completely. For example, I know for a fact that he has me on Ignore, not because I said something offensive or insulting to him, but because he did not agree with some of the things I said, especially regarding politics. My guess is that over time he will have a smlll cadre of self-affirming people who agree completely with him. That group can go on patting each other on the back and telling each other how smart they are. That is not my goal in coming to SI.

I would like to know what Cary's hat size is, or at least what he THINKS it is:-)

Regards,

Brian
