I think the right thing was done. I'm just not sure I could have done it. Because it is my belief that when you make the Constitution say what you want it to say, because you think your ends are noble, you make the document ripe to be exploited by people whose ends you might not like. You might enjoy reading the cases- I am sure there are some books on the travel cases that explain the pros and cons of the decisions. The justices used interstate commerce as the hook to allow the slap down of segregation.
