There is no true believer any more radical than a research scientist. What cures have unequivocally come from government research? It probably doesn't really matter, the fault will be not enough money!, we're on the trail!, the doors are just beginning to open!, the promise is unlimited! etc, etc, etc, Gimme a break, if we drilled for oil that way we'd be broke. What are the trade offs? When you're talking about something pumped up to be the "holy grail" I guess your not thinking trade offs. Sounds vaguely like the internet craze. BTW what's the best way to treat a cold.
