QuickTime seems a waste of money and even in its free version is of marginal utility.

60 million QuickTime users evidently disagree with you. I'm with them. Besides, it costs only $4 to bundle the Pro version, which would save a computer maker's customers $26 plus download and installation time. People LIKE to save money.

I can't imagine why anyone would want World Book.

I don't know exactly either, but it IS the most popular encyclopedia in the world.

You're right, this is easy

Seriously, try it. Think of software products that compete with something that Microsoft ships. Imagine being able to buy a computer that had these products preinstalled. It would be very nice! But you can't do that because Microsoft won't allow computer makers to preinstall these products. A successful antitrust remedy will remedy this.
