MSFT has never prohibited any OEM from shipping whatever they want with a PC. What MSFT has stated (and rightly so) is that OEMs cannot delete Windows components or icons under the guise of packaging in some third-party substitute. Your QuickTime point is completely bogus. My most recent DELL PC came with a copy of QuickTime preloaded as well as copies of WinDVD and MusicMatch in addition to the usual assortment of AOL and Earthlink CD-ROMs. Have you actually looked at what ships with new PCs these days or are you just quoting ideology?
