Cary,

If you want this thread to be group therapy for AMAT investors, just say so. I will happily go elsewhere.

I do not believe this is what anyone is asking for. The AMAT thread has long been a special place on SI in that many people from different threads know it as a place of civil discourse, where all opinions are welcomed. I often am visiting other threads an they will hold us up as an example of how a board should work. Lately though, you have been especially harsh on some threaders, as the number of people coming forward testifies to. Let's at least make an attempt to be civil, even if we think the person on the other side of the discussion is holding onto opinions which we may find objectionable or even ludicrous.

This is all I believe anyone is asking for. God knows I probably need group therapy, but my personal therapy is not something I would wish to put fellow threaders through:-)

Regards,

Brian

Cary, keep posting. Different points of view is what forces us to make a quanitative analysis. However, wish you could give me a measure to guage the Goodwill price of a company which influences how much an investor will pay for a stock as reflected in the stocks PE. :)
