It has nothing to do with belief that sperm is sacred. It has to do with the fact that the Church thinks that sex should not be artificially separated from procreation. BTW I am not saying I agree with the Catholic Church's opinion on contraception, I am just pointing out a few things about it.

So I guess once you have a hysterectomy, no more sex. And for women who are past menopause, no more sex. And for truly infertile men, no more sex. It is good to know the rules.
