Neither can I. If one really wanted to get away from the rest of the crazy world would be to more to Perth. These folks in the US who can not make it on their SS check would live like kings and queens there.

I agree with your assumption that Asia may not need the level of exports they have in the past from Australia for a while. The way I am playing this is I bought my lst third of IAF and I will be averaging down and hopefully my last third will be close to the bottom. The dividend is currently keeping me from loosing capital at the moment.

OST was just rotten luck. <g> I was looking for a CEF with some discount, a connection to the EURO and a market that was not over priced. OST was trading at 1990 - 1991 (recession) levels when I bought it.

I am now looking at SWZ for a replacement for OST. What I don't like about SWZ is the large cap stocks they hold are over priced and hopefully in the future it will trade lower. I do like the currency, so I am watching and waiting.
