I find it strange that there's any debate about this at all ... does anybody seriously think that 'the poor' are just going to acquiesce, roll over and die?

There seem to be a lot of folks in this great enlightened country, that would love to see "the poor" do just that.<gg>

Unemployed commit most of the crime? Anyone ever hear of white collar...corporate crime? Probably not, since it gets much less media exposure than street crime...wonder why?

We live in a very competitive Darwinian economic system. Competition can be good..... and it can and does on occasion bring out the worst in people.

Some can choose to ignore the evidence that there is something rotten in the state of Denmark....prisons overflow...city streets unsafe at night......the problem can't be in the system...it must be inherent in the genes of society's miscasts?

It must be in the water. <gg>
