Dear grampa: Of the original 6 of us that started this thread only you and I remain that post here. Remember Grant Cain started posting from his college dorm room. We were giving him all kinds of fatherly advice encouraging him to be faithful to Christ in his college days and not getting into the parties etc. I would almost feel very positively that some of the others still pray over every request while they may not still post here. I never would have started this unless all of you would have agreed to be faithful over prayer requests.(so I surely do not consider this my thread) I would never have dreamed it would have made it 3 years and 4 months. Truly Christ has given us a ministry here of intercession. He has also given us a faithful following that would make it impossible to do this without everyones help. Without mentioning many names I thank God for every one that prays over these requests. God deserves all the praise. I got to the point this past Jan Feb that I could not go on and took a sabatical for a month or two. I just had so many problems myself thatI was empty inside and felt nothing. God is slowly bringing me out of a very deep depression but I have a very long way to go. There are some very deep emotional and spiritual issues that I am dealing with and I just do not see an easy way out. But it seems that the more empty I feel the more effective my prayers have become. I guess it is easier to really put yourself into another persons shoes and put everything you have into a prayer when you are feeling what they are feeling, or something close to what they are feeling. But, so many times the laborers in the field never even receive recognition. This is truly a field of harvest and of dreams and of lives. (AND OF SOULS) I cannot express enough how unworthy I feel for my name even being on the header of this thread. It truly is not my thread but all of those that pray over requests and those that post here. At one time SI had a counter that you could place on a thread to see the number of page 'hits' this thread was receiving. Just a few months after it started there were hundreds every day. It would not surprise me if it were in the thousands evey day now. I do not want anyone here to underestimate the impact and raech that this thread has. If the truth were known we would all be awed by what God is doing here. I have often wondered why it seems that the really difficult requests have been answered in seemingly miraculous fashion , much more often than when we first began. I believe that the answer is in the 'numbers' of people that are praying here that we know not about. A bond fire is going to burn brighter and hotter than a campfire Amen. Every day I pray that The Lord increase our territory here as prayed by Jabez in I Chron 4:10. But our character here has changed and it is my desire to change the header or the original post. I know that God is calling us to a higher level of service. God is telling you that you have used your talents well and that He is well pleased in you. And I leave no one out ...all must deserve the same recognition. Do you have any ideas about a theme of the new original post.I would like to keep the title. What is the Spirit telling you. I'll tell you what the Lord is telling me .It has to do with the latter day rain that is to be greater than the former. Do you have that verse by chance ? In Christ gregor
