Oh we are making an impact. I'm just one of many millions. I don't usually speak up. But every once in awhile I see the BS clearly and want to shout, wake people up. The press has given Bush-Cheney quite a honeymoon. But of course they need evidence and so far we've had a cover-up (Bush, Cheney, Duke, Enron refusing subpoenas for energy document disclosure). The energy-environment issue is the hottest IMHO because Bush-Cheney game out of the gate making it the hottest. Never before have we seen one sector of the American economy together with crony bought-and-paid-for politicians steal so much so fast, demand we let them steal more just as quickly, and do everything they can to banish the laws, circumvent the rules and manipulate facts and public opinion. There is a lot right with the world and wong with the world, but this stands out to me as clearly wrong and setting the worst kind of example for the rest of the world. The world has looked up to us in recent years but suddenly with Bush-Cheney no longer. And they are right. I know Bush-Cheney lost the popular vote but how in the hell were so many people fooled? At least it's a bit comforting to see Bush's 52% negative numbers in a recent poll. And that's before the facts come out too. That's just peoples' intution. Which makes me breathe a sigh of relief about my faith in the American conscience. And the Jeffords move too was like a cop arriving at the scene of a crime. The culprits are hiding now but the cops at least on are the case. We'll probably never recover the 50-some billion they stole in 9 months but perhaps we can save most of our environment and stop them from future gougings and corruption. Campaign Finance reform. How many times have I said it. Most Americans want it but the Bush-Cheney crew are doing everything they can to make it go away.
