Hi Jon,

"The Xopenex will fall off somewhat given extreme seasonality."

I do not think that is correct. There is seasonality but we are actually going into the strong season which begins to ramp in August and accelerates in September and beyond.

I did some interpolated (from slides) projections for Xopenex and it looked like they have a shot at $140 this year. That is way above anyone's numbers so perhaps I am screwy.

But even if $140 is high I doubt that $120 will be. I just think that management is offering conservative guidance. To support that I am copying an earlier post and the link:

========

Yesterdays CC and earnings release was noteworthy for a few reasons: ($ in millions)

- Xopenex sales blew out expectations (2Q $31.3; 1H $58.4) leaving the analysts scratching their heads [run rate by 1H, $116.8, run rate by 2Q $125.2] Company guidance remains $100.
- Allegra 2Q royalties $11.2 [run rate $44.8 million]
- SEPR management is actively working* with JNJ on Propulsid
- Xopenex MDI could file NDA by year end 2002

* In an interview with Southwell with ON24 it appears that Propulsid MAY come back to SEPR to develope.

My comments:

- Xopenex sales in 2001 have a fair shot at $135 million by my interpolations/calculations. That will require a strong 4th Q.
- Xopenex nebule peak sales could reach $400.
- SEPR continues to be significantly undervalued by the market.

Anyone see it differently? As always, if you think I have something wrong - say so. The CC is still available for replay.

ij
