But this is not possible, as AMD has the clearly superior and vastly faster "SOI" technology! So does Motorola, we are told. And, of course, IBM. They must be stupid, then, to only be selling 867 MHz G4s, tops, to Apple. Moto must be holding back the Really, Really Fast G4s for their own use for some secret product! And IBM must be planning to use 3300 IA-64s in their "Terascale" computer because they are building inventory of their own SOI warp speed processors. Or maybe the SOI process is not ready for prime time?

It is rather amazing the level of denial in AMDroid land. Even with the fabled SOI process, neither IBM or Moto can reach 50% the frequencies Intel can on Intel's no longer leading generation Aluminum process. Yet, AMD is going to combine SOI, old transistors, an entirely new design, new buss architecture, no operating system, no applications, several years late and still manage to take over the world.

Amazing!
