Thanks. That's very helpful! I know my dislike for Dell is irrational -- it's just that I remember when they first started out and were not known for good service or quality construction. According to most sources that's changed, but I'm an oldester and harder for me to forgive and forget! I appreciate your suggestions very much. And yes, I can wait until XP comes out, but I'm concerned about some of the things I read about XP, and maybe should stick with 98 or 2000??
