I have been reading recent news releases on AMAT and LCRX... one of the things mentioned were these new chips which use copper as a conductor.

Please check out:

Does anyone know if the FAB process is still the same? I guess the question I am really asking is whether or not HELX will still play a role in the production of these Copper chips.

Thanks

in addition to the 300mm re-tool, also the explosive growth in flat panel displays will be a very large benefit to the company. i have mixed feelings about goldlink. it does seem to be catching on. last i heard was in 35 sites.

the divvy is nice, but don't be surprised if it gets reduced in the downturn.

personally, this company is one to simply buy in when it looks ugly, and hold. you have a great management team, a dominant market position and an incredible balance sheet. the management team has been through this cycle before and come out quite well. i see nothing fundamental that had changed in this perspective.
take care
