I've been following BAC since the old Barnet Banks and Nations Bank takeovers... They are the third largest bank in the US... They have good mgmt... Maybe not good enough to make a profit in leasing autos and lending to customers with spotty credit histories... : > But, in weak economic conditions, these areas are a drag on profits... This is far different from the Superior Bank situation where mgmt oversight was questionable... But, the divestiture of these businesses does highlight the current weakness in the economy... When I got a Nasdaq quote earlier, it read "1929", an ominous sign... : >
