So why did BPA, SMUD and LADWP all "gouge" too? Did the price of coal go up too at LADWP's Utah plant? It doesn't make sense that our own utilities would "gouge" does it? It could be they were filling up democratic coffers to withstand the challenge in upcoming elections. I could think of more scenarios but you get the point.

Yes it's a crime and tragedy when one political party condones the massive theft of public and private money by special interests (the trial lawyers in this case) for any reason.

Again two sides to a point of view.
