"By calling environmentalists "whackos" you discredit your entire argument"

How do you think you sound when you describe GWB, Cheney, the republican party and most rich people?

"Responsible environmentalists are by no means whackos"

I agree, but the whackos are getting the upper hand. Like I said, I cannot get a name changed on a permit without 3 separated agencies inspecting an almost 50 year old dirt road (all 700 feet of it). According to the Forest Service it is because the 9th district court in SF mandated that. I have not researched the ruling (because the Forest Service would give no details), but when the government is stopped in its tracks to do simple procedural thing like issue a permit I think it has gone too far.

I do understand environmental issues relatively well (although I am not an expert). I am a contributer to the Nature Conservancy and I am re-arranging my life and finances considerabley so I can actually live with nature. Apparantly there are people who feel that I should not be able to do that. Unfortunately they are the one's that seem to be winning.
