M2 PRESSWIRE-31 July 2001-Akamai: Leading global online careers site chooses Akamai EdgeSuite for optimal performance
and customisation; Monster.com to deploy Akamai's integrated services for delivery of customised Web site presentation from the
edge (C)1994-2001 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

RDATE:31072001

London -- Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKAM), the leading provider of distributed application and content delivery
services, today announced that Monster.com, the leading global online careers site and flagship brand of TMP Worldwide Inc., will
deploy the Akamai EdgeSuiteSM service to take advantage of greater online performance and content customisation while
minimising infrastructure requirements.

An EdgeSuite customer through Internap Network Services (NASDAQ: INAP), a strategic Akamai reseller and provider of
intelligent routing services over the Internet, Monster.com will now benefit from greater reliability and scalability by off-loading
additional content to Akamai's globally distributed network. By implementing dynamic Web page assembly at the edges of the
Internet, Monster.com will experience faster, more reliable provisioning of new content and updates. Monster.com will also leverage
Akamai's geo-location and bandwidth characterization functionality to deliver customised content to end users. With a global
audience that currently spans 21 countries, Monster.com will be able to provide timely, customised content internationally.

"With our continuous focus on building the Monster.com brand worldwide, Akamai enables us to cost-effectively enhance the user
experience by tailoring our site presentation accordingly," said Brian Farrey, Monster.com group president - strategy, product &
technology. "The EdgeSuite service provides top-quality performance, which our users expect, in addition to support for sudden
increases in capacity. We look forward to passing on these advantages to our users, to further assist their Web-based research for
valuable job leads and information."

Monster.com is a lifelong career network that job seekers use to manage their career, providing the ability to access the most
progressive companies, as well as interactive, personalised tools to make the process effective and convenient. According to Media
Metrix, Monster.com recently recorded record-high site traffic figures for May 2001 with an all-time high reach* of 8.1 percent and 7
million unique visitors.

"Monster.com has successfully engaged a rapidly-growing, global user base with its unique network of sites and quality service,"
said Ian King, general manager for Northern Europe, Akamai. "It's exciting to play a role in Monster.com's efforts to scale its Web
operations. By using the EdgeSuite service, Monster.com will be able to effectively add the value of content customisation to its
offerings."

The Akamai EdgeSuite service is an integrated set of functionalities designed to reduce Internet infrastructure costs and
complexities by extending the performance, scalability, and reliability benefits of content delivery across an entire Web site. Akamai
EdgeSuite enables the generation and delivery of dynamic content by constructing Web pages from component pieces that can be
targeted and delivered from locations optimised for each end user. Akamai's geo-location and bandwidth characterisation
functionality correlates geographic and network information to anonymous IP addresses, enabling the customisation of content
without compromising end user privacy.
