Monster.com to deploy Akamai's integrated services for delivery of
customized Web site presentation from the edge
Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKAM), the leading provider of distributed application and content delivery services, today announced that Monster.com(R), the leading global online careers site and flagship brand of TMP Worldwide Inc., will deploy the Akamai EdgeSuite(SM) service to take advantage of greater online performance and content customization while minimizing infrastructure requirements.
An EdgeSuite customer through Internap Network Services (NASDAQ: INAP), a strategic Akamai reseller and provider of intelligent routing services over the Internet, Monster.com will now benefit from greater reliability and scalability by off-loading additional content to Akamai's globally distributed network. By implementing dynamic Web page assembly at the edges of the Internet, Monster.com will experience faster, more reliable provisioning of new content and updates. Monster.com will also leverage Akamai's geo-location and bandwidth characterization functionality to deliver customized content to end users. With a global audience that currently spans 21 countries, Monster.com will be able to provide timely, customized content internationally.
