In some areas of the West cattle are being used to reseed areas from weeds to prairie grass. They are fed pellets that take a couple of days to break down, full of seed. Their hooves trample the weeds and till the soil. The seeds are deposited in their fertilizer and sprout. No kidding, I read about it in Audubon.
