I feel compelled to distance myself from any implication that might be taken that what I said was that "leftists" are humorless-- because on SI the definition of leftists often includes not only those I was agreeing with you about, the far left PC-thought ideologues, but for example, anyone who admits that having a goofus like GWB as a president is just so embarrassing.

BTW, post a funny GWB joke or link on RWE or the GWB-Fans thread, and see how many hearty laughs you get! You'll be humorlessly, not to mention angrily, dubbed a 'leftie' or 'liberal.'

I wanted to point that out.

Er... Bill. We're gettin' documentation! LOL.

Note that my prediction that the poster of a funny GWB post on one of those threads would be automatically dubbed 'leftist' by humorless rightists came true in the absence, even, of any specific humorous posting to which to take exception! On principle, if something funny about Dubya is said, it is NOT FUNNY! No! Not funny at ALL! STOP THAT SMILING, IT'S NOT RIGHT! -- and the sayer must, naturellement, be labeled a 'liberal' or 'leftist.'

I know a couple of people who voted for Dubya and aren't sorry who send funny links about him to their em list. That's called having a sense of humor.
