Call it what you want, rebate, advanced payment etc. You dodged Srexly's basic premise question.

"Second, people who paid NO FED TAX are NOT getting checks"

I realize that. I was asking AS if he thought they should. I have seen Lieberman say on tv that he is dissapointed these people didn't get the rebate too. Many other dems have stated this also.

And I don't care whether it is an actual rebate or not. That is what it is being called, so as long as you know what I was talking about you should be ok. Also, I don't think a rebate is defined by how it is paid for. It is defined by what it does. Are you suggesting if Toyota offered a $2,000 rebate on all Camrys, and then paid for the rebate by taking a loan themselves that the people who got a Camry and a $2,000 check from Toyota did not get a rebate? I would be surprised if that was technically correct. Feel free to research that and get back to me if you think it is incorrect.

Now that you are clear, do you think the people who paid no fed tax should have gotten a check from the government?
