Most people believe in Santa Claus or some other superstitious explanation for what Life The Universe and Everything. Most people bet that they will crash their car and burn down their house and they pay somebody else, who bets that they won't an annual premium. "Hey, I bet I crash my car and burn down my house". "I bet you don't". "Okay then, I'll give you $1000 a year, putting my money where my mouth is because I think it's a good bet that I'll crash my car and burn down my house". "Okay, send over the money and I'll take the bet". Most people turn maps when they are trying to find their way somewhere because they can't manipulate the images in their brains. Most people think that time and distance are different things. Most people think that a $trillion in wealth was lost when the markets zoomed to a peak then zoomed back down about 6 months later. Most people have got an IQ near 100. Half of them have one below that. Most people think that CO2 is an environmental poison. Most people think that the ozone layer is getting really bad because of all that greenhouse effect caused by Alan Green$pan. Most people can't remember what acid rain was about [because they didn't have a clue then what it was about]. Most people thought the Russians were coming. So did the Russians!! They weren't. But the communist idea gently slipped in anyway, when people weren't looking, so now we have electricity crises in California and New Zealand, caused by communist control of the electricity producers who aren't allowed to charge the going rate for electricity - I am right now burning electricity for half the price it is costing my supplier. State control in the freedom-claiming west is at an all-time high. Everything is forbidden unless expressly permitted and a licence obtained, for a fee. Most people have little idea what the heck's going on and won't have even if they try to understand. Unfortunately, that actually applies to all of us, though some are nearer the Neanderthal level than others. Those insignificant cars, power stations and aircraft are making almost negligible difference to the earth's temperature and are improving the ozone content of the atmosphere. Unfortunately, they mostly do it down low where we breathe the ozone, which is bad. I am sure you are kidding about making the roads white to save the world. Just how would you make them white? Only a small portion of fossil fuels are burned along roads [about a quarter] so. My guess is that if you laid all the world's bitumen roads side by side, you wouldn't even cover Texas. Texas might seem big when chasing cattle around it, but it's tiny compared with the dark, energy absorbing oceans, let alone the green around the world. Mqurice

Hi Gersh: the same argument you use for the roads applies to roofs - with additional bonus, that you dont have anybody driving on them (mechanical), that these installations generate energy close to its destination (cheaper delivery), that they are easier to finance (the owner and not some state profits from the installation) etc etc. Re color, have a look at some greeting cards from south - Greece for instance. Those buildings are all white and the reason is not that this coilour is cheaper that black, brown or blue - it's cooler. RegZ to the king of forks; dj
