You also forget Jesse Jackson claims to be a Christian minister. Many churches, esp. inner city churches are involved in democrat get out the vote efforts.

Maybe I shouldn't be clueing you into this but...
Bush's faith based initiative is designed to be a wedge between the religious left and the democrat party. It looks like it might work.

Lieberman gets it. He's trying to warn the party leaders but they don't seem to be listening.
