pcstel,

There you go trying to twist things around again. Some investors just can't seem to see the forest for the trees!

The fact of the matter is Globalstar was a damn good strategic investment at the time it was made. It has helped put Q in the position it is in today. Of course Q would have preferred it had worked out better (risk takers are not perfect) but it has served it's primary purpose.

With respect to Vesper, the outcome of that strategic investment has yet to be determined. But lets see I think there was some news today:

Brazil's telecoms regulator, Anatel has said that it has failed to receive any bidders for its national GSM1800 license. It was planning to hold an auction on August 21st, but bidders had to register an interest by Wednesday evening, and no companies had done so. The regulator is planning to hold a meeting later today to decide how to proceed with the auction, but a lowering of the $952 million reserve price is probably the only option available to them.
