Whether one agrees with it or not, I find that a quite rational, for religion, approach to the issue.

Homosexual acts are forbidden in Islam but it is understood that some people have such attractions and they are not to be hated for it.
That may be the prescription, but is it what actually occurs? The same can be said of Christianity- -and it has been mostlyu honored in the breach.

The oft refered to covering that is common with Islamic women is considered a protection from the eyes of lesbian women as well as from men who are not in their family.
Hmmm.... OK. Why is the same prescription (covered from head to foot, including most of the face) not applied to men so that they are "protected" against women not in their family and gay men?
