George cultural differences effect individuals and give them different benefits or disadvantages, however the differences between members of even isolated cultures are often more then the differences between the cultures.

In the US you could say we have different subcultures but they interact with eachother. In this context what Karen said makes perfect sense the individual is a lot more unique then the group.

I read Sowell's Ethnic America around 1980, I thought he had amazing insight into the immigrant experience as of that time. (I'm second generation eastern European.) I haven't read any of his later stuff. What, specifically, that I said was bullshit?
