Sorry, but I don't equate Microsoft with "the (entire) tech industry." Silly me; I thought the industry was broader than that.

Some of Microsoft's recent moves are being described in commentary as Orwellian. Are you trying to deflect that criticism by projecting it onto others?

It was a successful bipartisan effort, thanks to the support of citizen groups known as Tutts and Daves. David. the best post I 've ever read on SI since I first joined in. Obviously you're articulate enough to get to the core of the matter and explain in simple words (to those who know who's lurking around here) why monstrous "things" like Jackson-Pensville and Reno can actually happen.
