It's a matter of law that forests be maintained according to state forest practices acts, and public lands are maintained according to the governing forest plan or other forest management authority.

If you know of a forest that's not so managed, you should report it to the authorities. I can help you find the addresses if you need them.

We probably can't precisely duplicate the ecological community of an old growth forest ... However, we can come close ...

Obviously, you didn't understand my statement. I didn't say all forests were managed to duplicate ecological communities of old growth forests. Those that are will develop communities that are indistinguishable from what you call old growth. It's just a matter of time. You will not make it. You have no faith in nature.
