Poet, Although I anticipated a slowdown in revenue growth rate, the guidance given by management caught me blindsided as to the extent of the contraction. Apparently those giveaway bargains on legacy gear from Nortel, Lucent, Fujitsu etc are taking their toll on transmission equipment. Furthermore, I fully expected that at least one analyst would address the issue of the T contract win for Ciena's CoreDirector switch gear, as I belive this contract to be a watershed event in the industry. I don't understand why T or cien continues to hold this under wraps as it is a poorly kept secret. Jack
