Bilow: RMBS lost its battle on SDRAM to IFX ONLY (NOT THEY as you stated), not DDR either. Only IFX, Micron and Hudiax refuse to pay royalties on SDRAM. You should also know that Judge Payne dismissed IFX claim of RMBS freuld in DDR last week. In addition, the IFX issue is currently in appeal court. More than 50% of the Markman's ruling is overturned in the appeal court. Don't you know that the 2 experts appointed by an Italian court oncluded, after 5 month length investigation, that Micron also infringed on RMBS patents on SDRAM, but the judge refused to place injunction on Micron for economic reason, lay off Italian works by closing down factory.

Although the name of the Samsung's payment is changed, Samsung is still paying to RMBS for its SDRAM production. SDRAM is an out of date technology and will be replaced by both RDRAM and DDR within 1-2 yrs.
