Jim, the market strategy is a little unique. HAS took surveys in each major suburban area to find the leaders. They asked kids to identify who the coolest kid in the neighborhood was. They went from kid to kid until the answer was "me." Then, they gave the "in crowd" a free POG game.

The concept is to spread POG by word of mouth. Since kids need other kids to play the game, they're giving the game away to create an epicenter of interest before mass marketing.

I think that POG could be the runaway hit toy this season and as you mentioned, Hasbro has a good pipeline of other products.

KEG: It has been on an up-trend since its low on Aug.13 at the 8.20 level. They had a good earnings report (+26 M vs. 1.3 M loss<g>) and revenues for the last Q also were impressive (250 M vs. 169M)

SFA: Had a mini up-gap, after MRL raised its rating from buy to accumulate, but didn't go far.<g> It is trying to close the pretty good down-gap of Aug.17 <g> That was the day when it dropped from 25.11 to 19.50.

HLIT: It had a good run from its Apr.17 L of 3.11 to the Aug.2 H of 17.12 (more than 300% in less than 4 months, not bad.<g>)In spite of the bad present outlook for the Tech. Sector, I think HLIT has potential. I am trying to buy again at the 13 level with a mental stop at 12.<g>I don't expect it to test its March/00 H of 157.50 any time soon.<g>but it could resune its recent up-trend that could carry it to the mid-twenty level before year end.
Its chairman, Anthony Lay recently stated:"We are very pleased with our strong execution and improved operating performance in the second quarter."
"We have also succeeded in reducing our operating costs while enhancing our competitive position."<g>
