Craziest part is it has to be invested in T-bills. If they could invest in overseas bonds they would at least have the money and be getting a return. As it is now and always has been it is an accounting entry that actually increases our debt.

I read somewhere that if the trust was truly a trust earning 5% interest that had compounded we would never need to add to it as we wouldn't spend the interest. Doesn't that piss you off?
